This photo was taken in 1934 at Ft. William McKinley, P.I. by an organization of military photographersthat were located in San Antonio, TX under contact with the War Department to cover the U.S. Army Posts throughout the CONUS and the then Five Departments: Alaska, Hawaii, Philippines, Panama, and Puerto Rico. This is speacial for two reasons: (1) It is destinctive in the manner in which the members of the Philippine Scouts are drawn up on the Parade Ground (2) Included in the photo was the son of the Regimental Supply Seargeant, Alfones Quijano. This young boy would serve in the 53rd Infantry (PS) from __ through World War II and the Korean War, and following retirement devoted many years of service as a member of the Philippine Scouts Heritage Society. - John E.
